JONATHAN VAN CAMPEN Jonathan "Bink" Van Campen holds a B.S. in biology from St. Lawrence University. He has served as director of the Outdoor Program at St. Lawrence University and program director at Adventure Learning. Bink's passion for boats started at an early age, but intensified while working at Lowell's Boat Shop (America's oldest continuously operating boat shop). He has since worked with a number of boat builders and has successfully run his own boat repair business. Bink's real passion, however, lies in education. He has run a number of boat-building programs with kids and sees a future in integrated hands-on education. The catamaran is a continuation of that passion. Combining skills in education and boat building, Bink developed a business plan to create an educational platform large enough to satisfy entire classrooms of students while remaining gentle on the environment. As ambitious as this may be, Bink maintains it is only the tip of the iceberg |
